In this episode of The Voice Note:
I’m back in Dubai and discuss the benefits of waking up early as if I’ve invented it.
Obviously, obviously, I’m discussing, in minute detail every aspect of The Devil Wears Prada 2 - it took me some time to actually head to the cinema and watch it, and my thoughts vary, I’ll tell you one thing here though before you listen, Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, are brilliant despite the chaos.
Is anyone NOT talking about Yesteryear? The debut novel by Caro Claire Burke has everyone talking - the premise, concept, writing are all great, but what is she, what is the novel actually saying? Is it supposed to say anything, does it have a message, or are the questions, and discussions the whole point?
Also, what does it mean when a writer is writing with no knowledge of where their book will end up as opposed to writing with a film deal in place, after discussions with the star of the film? Does it make a difference?
All that and more in this weeks episode.
Enjoy
